Photos…

So I saw photo of someone who checks-in regularly to a place I’m mayor of on foursquare. From the photo he uses he looks quite tall. In real life he’s short, barely above my belly button.

Now a bunch of my good friends are shorter, but it’s an interesting perspective based on photography. I’m tall, though only about the 10th tallest in my HS class. Regardless still taller than most.

It was still interesting to meet this person directly & see how truly photos can manipulate perspective. Often this is talked about with FB or Twitter. But having rarely met others, it was interesting to see them in person.

Today, was 4 circuits of 2-4 exercises. Ranging from 15 or 30 seconds or 10 or 15 reps.  Most were not that unusual. Except two: (though these were simple, I hadn’t done them before)

• Flat Weight Plank - get into a plank (pushup position). Trainer then places 25lb weight on small of back. Hold for 30seconds. (this was one of the exercises in a circuit; so I did it 3x. Oddly on the 3rd time, it was the easiest.)
• Knee-Up Weighted Hold - grab onto bar above head. Lift knees up (calves hanging down). Trainer put 5lb weight on lap. Hold for 15 seconds. (Repeat 3x)

That last one was killing my hands more then anything. 

definition of a great weekend = completely exhausted on Sunday afternoon. 

I noted CRF’s post on Walmart post in my head, for no reason in particular.

I’ve been to Walmart 4x in the US. I do no like Walmart, I did think K-Mart had better quality at one point. Still I’d rather not have either as my preferred shopping spot.

I’ve been to Walmart in China, innumerable times. Walmart in China is a far better store than in the US. (I cannot speak to other countries). It’s a supermarket with fresh & rare items + it’s equal to or better than my previous K-Mart conviction for non food items.

I am a quality purchaser. I’d rather buy something that will last years than something in style or cheap. If I’m going to spend my hard earned cash I want my money’s worth or better.
